When boating season comes around, always have the right power supply with a Durastart Marine Deep Cycle 12V 700CCA Battery. For all-purpose applications, try something like the popular Duralast CB14A-A2FP Group B14A-A2 Conventional Power Sport Battery 190 CCA.
A general rule of thumb for marine batteries is that a light- to medium-duty starter battery will last up to 300 cycles, while a heavy duty battery should reach anywhere from 400 to 600 cycles. Most boats use a 12-, 8- or 6-volt lead-acid battery. Deep-cycle marine batteries are used to power accessories like trolling motors, radios, fish finders, but should not be used in place of starter batteries.
The biggest difference between power sport batteries and car batteries is the amount of power they supply to their respective vehicle. A motorcycle battery, for example, could not be used on a car because it lacks the appropriate amount of amps to make the vehicle run. On the other hand, a car battery used on a motorcycle would fry the internal components of the bike.
