FAQs

Do you sell bait?

We sell a variety of lures, jigs and other non-living bait from premier ice fishing brands like Rapala and Northland Fishing, among others. Inquire with your local store about live bait options throughout the year.

When is it safe to go ice fishing?

In general, you should wait until ice is about four inches thick before ice fishing. This usually occurs after seven to 10 days of consistent below-freezing temperatures.

Do I need a shelter to go ice fishing?

While not required, an ice fishing shelter will keep you comfortable all day long. And, when you’re more comfortable, you can stay out longer and increase your chances of landing a full bucket of fish.
