L&M Fleet Supply Announces Planned Acquisition of Family Center Farm & Home
Combination will strengthen two family-owned regional retailers while preserving the values, community relationships,
and customer experience that have defined both companies for more than 60 years.
GRAND RAPIDS, Minn. — [July 21, 2026] — L&M Fleet Supply today announced its planned acquisition of Family Center Farm & Home, a seven-store retailer with locations in Missouri and Kansas, which will bring together two long-standing, family- owned retailers with deep community roots and a shared commitment to serving customers according to the Golden Rule.
For more than six decades, both L&M Fleet Supply and Family Center Farm & Home have been built on similar foundations: family ownership, strong ethics, hard work, local relationships, and an unwavering focus on customers, employees, and communities. Both companies are members of the Mid-States retail cooperative.

The combination is expected to create a larger and more resilient retail enterprise with greater scale, broader market diversification, stronger purchasing capabilities, and increased ability to invest in the areas customers increasingly expect — including store experience, distribution, systems, talent, infrastructure, e-commerce, and digital convenience.
At the same time, both organizations remain committed to preserving the personal, local, and trusted customer experience that has made each company successful.

Together, we believe we can offer both the convenience customers want and the human experience they cannot get through a screen alone.” Mills will have an equity interest in the newly combined organization where he will serve as President – Region 400. In this role, he will focus on strategic growth and provide executive representation and ownership-level accountability across the Missouri & Kansas region where the seven existing locations will continue to operate as Family Center Farm & Home stores.
The acquisition reflects a long-term vision to create something increasingly rare in modern retail: a family-owned regional retailer that has the scale to compete in a changing marketplace while continuing to feel personal, local, trusted, and deeply connected to the communities it serves.
L&M Fleet Supply and Family Center Farm & Home will work together thoughtfully through the transition, with a focus on supporting employees, serving customers, strengthening operations, and honoring the history and culture of both businesses.
The combined company will operate 20 stores across 5 states, including Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, Missouri, and Kansas. Additional information will be shared as the process moves forward.
